Egypt national football team begins training for AFCON 2027 qualifiers

The Egyptian national football team has commenced training at the National Teams Center in preparation for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Led by head coach Hossam Hassan, the squad is preparing for upcoming matches against Angola and South Sudan scheduled for September 25 and 29.

The training camp began with local league players, while international professionals, including Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, are expected to join the squad gradually over the coming days. The full roster of 24 players is anticipated to be complete by Sunday.

Following the qualifying matches, the team is scheduled to play a friendly match against South Africa on October 4.
