Egypt National Social Insurance Authority to begin October 2026 pension payments
The National Social Insurance Authority in Egypt is preparing for the disbursement of October 2026 pensions, which is scheduled to begin on October 1. Approximately 11.5 million beneficiaries will receive payments that include a 15% annual increase previously implemented in July.
The total annual cost for this pension increase is estimated at 70 billion Egyptian pounds, with the maximum increase value reaching 2,505 pounds. Major General Gamal Awad, Chairman of the National Social Insurance Authority, has directed that all necessary arrangements be finalized to ensure smooth distribution.
Pensions can be accessed through various channels, including ATMs, bank branches, post offices, and mobile electronic wallets. The authority is coordinating with relevant agencies to ensure sufficient liquidity and prevent delays or crowding at service outlets.
