Egypt U17 national team wins first Gulf Cup title

The Egypt under-17 national football team has won the Gulf Cup for the first time in its history. In the final held at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar, Egypt defeated the United Arab Emirates 3-1.

Goals for Egypt were scored by Khaled Mahmoud, Mohamed Gamal, and Khaled Mokhtar, while Butti Khamis Al Junaibi scored for the UAE. This victory marks the first time a non-Gulf nation has claimed the title in the tournament's 14-year history.

Individual honors included Ahmed Al-Jaziri winning Player of the Tournament, Joshua Ian Bentley named Best Goalkeeper, and Egypt's Khaled Mokhtar and Mohamed Attia sharing the Golden Boot with five goals each. The team's victory serves as preparation for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Upon their return to Egypt, the team was officially welcomed at Cairo International Airport by representatives from the public relations and media sector.
