Egypt offers digital ration card services via Digital Egypt platform

The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, offers various electronic services for ration cards through the Digital Egypt platform. These digital services allow citizens to manage their food subsidy cards without visiting physical offices.

Available online services include updating card data, issuing replacements for lost or damaged cards, activating new cards, transferring cards between governorates, and adding family members. To ensure the continuity of subsidies, the Ministry emphasizes the importance of accurate data registration, which also facilitates the inclusion of new families into the support system.

For specific cases such as divorcees, the Ministry allows for social separation from a former spouse's card to issue an independent card, with the option to include children in custody. Required documentation typically includes national ID copies, birth certificates, utility bills, and official divorce decrees or custody rulings. The processing time for new card issuance is approximately 15 to 20 working days.
