Egypt opens eighth edition of Heritage Exhibition

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the eighth edition of the ‘Turathna 2026’ exhibition for handicrafts and heritage products at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. Held from October 17 to 24, the event is organized by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency.

The exhibition aims to support artisans and small business owners by expanding marketing opportunities for Egyptian products both locally and internationally. High-level officials, including various ministers and governors, attended the opening. Notably, the National Council for Persons with Disabilities participated through its ‘Our Craft from Our Heritage’ initiative, showcasing products from over 150 trained individuals to promote economic empowerment.

Governor Amr Lashin of Aswan highlighted the importance of traditional crafts, such as Nubian handicrafts, in preserving Egyptian cultural identity and providing sustainable economic resources for families, particularly women and youth.
