Egypt opens new investor service center in Banha

Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Mohamed Farid Saleh, and Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, have inaugurated a new investor service center in the Banha investment zone. This facility brings the total number of such centers in Egypt to 15.

The center is designed to improve the business environment by simplifying procedures and bringing government services closer to economic activity. It is expected to serve over 28,000 companies across the Qalyubia, Gharbia, and Menofia governorates.

According to Minister Saleh, Egypt has seen significant growth in investment activity. Between January and June 2026, approximately 26,000 new companies were established, representing a 20% increase compared to the same period the previous year. Issued capital during this timeframe reached 97.5 billion Egyptian pounds. Notably, the Lower Egypt governorates accounted for roughly 50% of all new company formations, indicating expanding investment activity outside of traditional economic hubs.
