Egypt Parliament sets priorities for second session

Egyptian Member of Parliament Mohamed Zein El-Din has outlined the legislative priorities for the House of Representatives' second session, emphasizing citizen needs and economic support.

A primary focus is the reconciliation law regarding building violations, intended to provide relief to citizens. The legislative agenda also includes economic laws to support national industry and investment, specifically regarding industrial land allocation and localizing manufacturing to reduce imports and increase exports.

On the oversight front, the Parliament aims to monitor markets to control prices, ensure social protection packages reach eligible recipients, and follow up on health and education sectors. Other proposed laws include personal status (family law), local administration, and regulations for children's use of social media.
