Egypt plans to expand digital labor links with Arab nations

Egypt's Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, has announced a strategic plan to expand electronic linking with Arab nations to regulate the movement of Egyptian workers. This digital initiative aims to protect workers' rights, eliminate informal intermediaries, and facilitate the rapid exchange of data regarding labor contracts and market needs.

The Ministry currently maintains electronic cooperation with Jordan to streamline recruitment and data exchange. Additionally, Egypt is working with Saudi Arabia on a professional examination agreement. This agreement ensures that workers possess the necessary skills and qualifications before entering the Saudi labor market, a process that aligns with Egypt's policy of training and qualifying its workforce to increase international competitiveness.

Beyond digital integration, the Ministry has set a national ambition to provide 1.4 million sustainable and decent job opportunities annually. This goal involves collaboration with various state agencies and the private sector to ensure job opportunities match market needs and support the Egyptian economy.
