Egypt PM Mustafa Madbouly advances water infrastructure and smart city transport in Alamein

Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly met at the government headquarters in the new city of Alamein to review the execution status of drinking water and sewage projects across Egypt. The meeting, attended by Housing Minister Randa Al‑Manshawi and senior officials, highlighted progress on construction, maintenance and smart‑metering initiatives aimed at improving service quality and reducing water loss.

In a separate ceremony at the same venue, Madbouly signed an investment agreement to create the company “Muwasalat Madin Misr,” which will operate a smart, sustainable urban transport system in the new cities. The partnership involves the New Urban Communities Authority, the Future Egypt Development Agency and the National Bank of Egypt, and will launch a fleet of 200 vehicles with electronic payment, central control rooms and driver training programs.
