Egypt President ratifies law to modernize Military Technical College

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has ratified Law No. 156 of 2026, which amends the basic law governing the Military Technical College. The amendments, published in the Official Gazette, aim to modernize the institution's academic programs and study systems to align with global advancements in engineering and technology.

The new regulations allow for the adoption of modern educational frameworks, such as credit hour or credit point systems, provided students meet the minimum required years of study. These changes are intended to ensure the college remains a specialized center for scientific and technological military studies, capable of training personnel to meet national security challenges.

Regarding admission, applicants must be Egyptian nationals born to Egyptian parents who did not acquire citizenship through naturalization. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent and meet the admission criteria for corresponding engineering colleges as determined by the Supreme Council of Universities, alongside specific grade requirements set by the college's Supreme Council.
