Egypt Prime Minister visits Vodafone Intelligent Solutions

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly visited the headquarters of Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS) in Alexandria to highlight the country's growing role in the global outsourcing industry. Madbouly emphasized that Egypt's advanced infrastructure in the telecommunications and information technology sectors is designed to attract further investment, increase service exports, and boost foreign currency inflows.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hindi, noted that the ministry is working to encourage outsourcing companies to expand, positioning Egypt as a primary destination for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). He clarified that BPO encompasses diverse fields beyond customer service, including finance, human resources, and data processing.

Amira Nagy, CEO of VOIS, stated that Egypt represents the company's second-largest operation globally. The company employs approximately 9,500 people in Egypt across centers in Cairo and Alexandria, accounting for nearly one-third of its 35,000 global employees. A memorandum of understanding signed in November 2025 aims to add 1,500 new jobs to the company's Egyptian operations.
