Egypt railway schedules released for Cairo, Alexandria, and Aswan routes

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport and the Egyptian National Railways have released updated train schedules for Wednesday, August 26, 2026, covering major routes including Cairo to Alexandria and Cairo to Aswan.

On the Cairo-Alexandria line, Talgo train services include departures from Cairo at 8:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. Return services from Alexandria to Cairo are scheduled for 2:00 PM and 6:50 PM, with a special 9:00 AM departure on Fridays and holidays. Various air-conditioned and Russian-style trains also operate frequently throughout the day.

For the Cairo-Aswan route, Talgo services depart Cairo at 7:00 PM, arriving in Aswan the following morning at 6:40 AM. Other services include VIP trains and sleeper trains operating between Aswan and Cairo at various early morning and evening intervals. The Talgo service stops at several stations, including Giza, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Edfu, and Kom Ombo.
