Egypt readies 2026 secondary school exams with education ministry and police confirming full security and logistics

The Cairo Directorate of Education, led by Dr. Hemt Abu Keila, raised the overall readiness level for the 2026 secondary school examinations to the maximum. The directorate reviewed final preparations, emphasized strict compliance with exam‑room standards, and ordered swift handling of transfer and admission files while prohibiting any direct financial transactions with parents.

Police General Alaa Al‑Saqa and Education Minister Amjad Barham also affirmed complete readiness, outlining a joint security plan that will deploy about 1,800 police personnel across the governorates. The plan covers protection of exam halls, transport of exam papers and answer sheets, and special arrangements for 39 students in police reform and rehabilitation centers. Exams are scheduled in 492 schools with 524 examination rooms.
