Egypt remittances reach $29.7 billion through July 2026

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached approximately $29.7 billion during the first seven months of 2026. According to the Central Bank of Egypt, this represents a 28.1% increase compared to the $23.2 billion recorded during the same period in 2025.

Monthly data shows consistent growth throughout the year. In July 2026 alone, remittances totaled roughly $4.5 billion, a 20% increase from $3.8 billion in July 2025. Earlier in the year, January saw $3.5 billion in inflows, while February reached $3.8 billion.

For the 2025/2026 fiscal year, which ran from July 2025 to June 2026, total remittances amounted to approximately $47.3 billion. This marks a 29.6% rise from the $36.5 billion recorded in the previous fiscal year.
