Egypt's Higher Education Minister seeks research partnerships in Europe

During a visit to Europe, Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansoua, held several meetings to expand international research cooperation and industrial integration.

In Belgium, the Minister met with representatives from the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO) to discuss enhancing funding for joint applied research. The discussions focused on bridging the gap between scientific research and industrial application, specifically in fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, renewable energy, and water technologies. The goal is to develop joint grant programs and support the transition of scientific knowledge into economic value.

In France, Dr. Qansoua met with the President of Aivancity University to explore collaboration in artificial intelligence, data science, and digital transformation. The talks addressed the development of educational programs tailored to labor market needs, as well as the ethics and governance of AI applications in sectors like healthcare, engineering, and smart cities.
