Egypt sets 2026-2027 school fees and payment rules

Egyptian educational authorities have announced the fee structures and payment procedures for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has confirmed that tuition fees for its institutes will remain unchanged from the previous year, as decided by Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb. Fees for regular institutes range from 60 EGP for preparatory and primary stages to 80 EGP for secondary stages. Model institutes carry higher costs, with language-based preparatory programs reaching 830 EGP. All Al-Azhar fees must be paid electronically through approved channels.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education has outlined the payment schedule and costs for public and official language schools. Payments are to be made in two installments, starting in October and February. For public schools, fees range from approximately 320 EGP for primary levels to 545 EGP for secondary levels. Official language schools incur additional service fees, such as 1,400 EGP for kindergarten and 1,000 EGP for secondary stages. These payments can be processed via post offices or contracted electronic outlets using the student's national ID or student code.
