Egypt Sets July 30 Deadline for Cooperative Housing 2026 Applications
The General Authority for Cooperative Housing announced that the last day to purchase the application booklet for the 2026 cooperative housing program is Thursday, 30 July. Prospective buyers must be Egyptian citizens, at least 21 years old, and must not have previously received a social or cooperative housing unit. The booklet can be obtained at the Authority’s headquarters in Cairo and its branches in Suez, Port Said and Arish.
Units are offered in eight locations: New Cairo (5th Settlement), Port Said, 6 October City, Badr, 10th of Ramadan, Suez, 15 May and Arish. Prices per square metre range from EGP 25,000 in New Cairo down to EGP 10,000 in 15 May. A total of 229 units are available, with payment plans requiring a 40‑50 % down‑payment and installments over five to seven years. Allocation will be made through a public lottery held from 5 to 24 August, with strict attendance rules to ensure transparency.
