Egypt Survey Authority reports progress on land legalization and infrastructure projects

Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Hani Sewilam, received a report from Howida El-Noby, head of the Egyptian General Survey Authority, detailing the agency's recent activities and contributions to national projects.

Key achievements include conducting surveying for over 126,000 land legalization requests under Law 168 of 2025. The authority has also completed surveying for riverbank lands in Aswan, Luxor, and Beni Suef, with preparations underway for five additional governorates including Monufia and Beheira.

Between July 2025 and June 2026, the authority executed 104 land expropriation projects to support major infrastructure, such as the High-Speed Electric Train, the Monorail, and various road and port expansions including Safaga and Alexandria. Additionally, the authority is implementing the fourth phase of the urban boundary project for cities and villages across the country and has established several cooperation protocols with various governorates and state agencies to inventory state-owned properties.
