Egypt to host 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League

Egypt will host the CAF Women’s Champions League from November 1 to 15, 2026. This marks the second consecutive year and the third time in history that Egypt has organized the tournament.

The competition will feature eight clubs divided into two groups of four. Confirmed participants include defending champions AS FAR and FUS de Rabat from Morocco, Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Kawempe Muslim from Uganda, Lekié FF from Cameroon, and USFAS from Mali. The final two spots will be filled by the host nation's representative and the winner of the WAFU Zone B qualifier.

In the WAFU Zone B qualification, the CAF Appeal Board has ordered the final between Nigeria’s Edo Queens and Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies to resume from the start of extra time. This follows the annulment of a penalty shootout victory previously awarded to Edo Queens. The winner of this rescheduled match will secure the final slot in the tournament.

Additionally, Chadian assistant referee Victorine Ngarassoum has been selected to officiate during the tournament, highlighting increased female representation in African football officiating.
