Egypt to Host 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Festival

Egypt has been selected to host the third edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival in 2026, a move officials say signals rising regional and international confidence in the country's role as a hub for innovation and investment. Dr. Eiman Karim, director‑general of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, highlighted the festival as a historic platform to showcase technologies and business models that empower entrepreneurs with disabilities, citing initiatives such as the “My School for the Deaf” program and the “Nafath” digital access platform.

Industry Minister Khaled Hashem noted that the event will strengthen economic development by fostering partnerships across Africa, the Middle East and Europe, and by promoting industrial growth, SME participation and high‑value‑added manufacturing. He emphasized Egypt’s strategic location, modern infrastructure and free‑trade agreements as assets that will attract investment and expand export opportunities.

Both officials stressed that the festival will provide training, mentorship, financing and incubator support for startups, especially those led by disabled entrepreneurs, and will help integrate them into global value chains.
