Egypt to host inaugural Arab Paralympic Games
Egypt has been selected to host the inaugural edition of the Arab Paralympic Games. The announcement was made during a press conference in Cairo held by the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, led by Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa.
Organized in cooperation with the Arab Union for Sports of Persons with Disabilities, the event will feature competitions across 11 different sports. The tournament is expected to see participation from 19 Arab nations, including Algeria, aiming to foster regional sporting cooperation and support the development of para-sports in the Middle East and North Africa.
Ihab Hassanein, President of the Arab Union, noted that Egypt's selection reflects international and regional confidence in the country's ability to manage major sporting events. The initiative is supported by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports.
