Egypt to host major 2026 global finance and African business forums

Egypt is set to host significant international financial and economic gatherings in 2026. Tamweely Financial Services has announced its role as a gold sponsor for the Cerise+SPTF 2026 Global Meeting, scheduled to take place in Cairo from September 28 to October 1, 2026. The forum, themed ‘Finance to Empower & Protect’, focuses on developing financial systems that prioritize client empowerment and protection. Notably, Tamweely has become the first financial services company in Egypt to receive the Gold-level consumer protection certification from Cerise+SPTF.

Additionally, the inaugural Alamein Africa Business Forum 2026 will be held in New Alamein City from October 2 to 4, 2026, coinciding with the African Union summit. Dr. Hoda Yassa, President of the Arab Women Investors Union, highlighted that the forum aims to foster continental economic integration, localize value-added industries, and reduce reliance on raw material exports. The event will include a summit for the founding countries of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) to discuss development rates and cross-border project financing, alongside the eighth African Union mid-year coordination summit.
