Egypt to host major African Union and World Economic Forum summits

Egypt is preparing to host a series of high-level African and international summits in early October and November. In Alamein, the country will host the Alamein Africa Forum on October 2 and 3, designed to bridge political, economic, and institutional development across the continent. This forum aims to move from setting continental priorities to mobilizing resources and building partnerships between the private sector and financial institutions.

Following the Alamein Forum, Egypt will host the summit of the founding countries of the African Union Development Agency (NEPAD) on October 3, and the eighth African Union Mid-Year Coordination Meeting on October 4. These events represent a significant return to hosting major African summits in Egypt.

Additionally, Cairo is scheduled to host a dedicated Business Meeting in collaboration with the World Economic Forum in November. This event, the first of its kind in the Middle East, will focus exclusively on Egypt's economic landscape, investment opportunities, and its role as a regional hub for trade, logistics, and energy. The meeting is expected to include over 50 high-level executives from major international partner companies.
