Egypt women's football team knocked out of 2026 Africa Cup of Nations

The Egypt women's national football team ended its campaign at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after losing all three group‑stage matches. The team suffered defeats of 0‑6 to Zambia, 1‑3 to Malawi and 6‑2 to Nigeria, finishing bottom of Group C with zero points.

Coach Mohamed Kamel saw striker Nadiin Ghazi score both Egyptian goals, each from a penalty, in the final match against Nigeria. Nigeria’s victory secured its place in the knockout round, while the tournament was staged in Casablanca and Rabat from 26 July to 16 August 2026.
