Egypt women's soccer team readies for African Cup in Morocco

The Egyptian women's national football team held a coordination meeting with players and staff before travelling to Morocco for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The session reviewed tournament regulations, recent changes to the refereeing law, and administrative and security requirements. Officials present included board member Inas Mazhar, delegation chief, and Alaa Abdelaziz, manager of national teams.

Coach Mohamed Kamal and his technical staff focused on raising fitness levels and refining tactical plans, especially rapid transitions between defence and attack. The squad’s first group‑stage match will be against Zambia on 28 July, followed by games versus Malawi and Nigeria.

Separately, the Egyptian referee trio selected for the competition arrived in Morocco to join a closed‑door training camp, underscoring the confidence in Egypt’s officiating standards for the tournament.
