EgyptAir launches direct flights between Cairo and Birmingham
EgyptAir has expanded its United Kingdom network by launching direct flights between Cairo and Birmingham. The new service operates four times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays—utilizing Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
This route marks the airline’s third UK destination, following London and Manchester. The service aims to serve business and tourism travelers, as well as the Egyptian community in the Midlands, while providing connections through Cairo International Airport to destinations in Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East.
The expansion follows an agreement between EgyptAir and Birmingham Airport signed during the El Alamein International Airshow. This move is part of a broader network expansion and fleet growth for the airline, which includes a leasing agreement for 18 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
