EgyptAir signs multi-year partnership with FC Barcelona

EgyptAir has entered into a multi-year partnership with FC Barcelona, serving as the official airline for the club’s men’s first football team, basketball team, and handball team through the end of the 2028-29 season.

As part of the agreement, the EgyptAir logo will be featured on the jerseys of the FC Barcelona handball team. The Egyptian government described the deal as an “unprecedented achievement” in the history of the national carrier, noting that the partnership is intended to support EgyptAir’s strategy to expand its international route network and global brand presence.

The deal highlights a growing trend of North African entities using high-level sports sponsorship as a tool for international brand modernization and soft power.
