Egyptian currency markets track Riyal and Dollar fluctuations

Currency exchange rates in Egypt showed fluctuations and stability across various banks in mid-August 2026. The Saudi Riyal has seen a rise against the Egyptian Pound, with rates at major institutions like the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr hovering around 13.46 to 13.52 EGP for buying and selling.

Meanwhile, the US Dollar has stabilized following a recent increase. In several major banks, including the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, the dollar was recorded at approximately 50.65 EGP for purchase and 50.75 EGP for sale.

These movements occur as market participants await a meeting of the Central Bank of Egypt's monetary policy committee to determine interest rate decisions.
