Currency exchange rates remain stable against Egyptian Pound

Major foreign and Arab currencies showed relative stability against the Egyptian Pound during trading on August 25 and 26, 2026.

In the banking sector, the US Dollar was recorded at approximately 50.35 EGP for purchase and 50.49 EGP for sale, with the Central Bank of Egypt noting rates around 50.35 EGP for purchase and 50.45 EGP for sale. The Euro maintained stability, with rates in the Central Bank reaching approximately 58.72 EGP for purchase and 58.89 EGP for sale, while various commercial banks like Al Ahly and Banque Misr reported similar figures.

Arab currencies also remained steady. The Saudi Riyal was traded at rates ranging from approximately 13.41 EGP to 13.53 EGP for purchase, and between 13.44 EGP and 13.57 EGP for sale across different institutions. The Kuwaiti Dinar and UAE Dirham also saw consistent exchange values against the Egyptian Pound.
