Egyptian Bar Association President promotes reform and regional cooperation

Dr. Abdel Halim Allam, President of the Egyptian Bar Association and President of the Arab Lawyers Union, conducted visits to the Minya and Beni Suef governorates to engage with local legal communities and government officials.

During a ceremony in Minya, Allam addressed the need for institutional reform and the fight against corruption within the syndicate. He noted that reform is a long-term process requiring sustained effort to bridge the gap between syndicate councils and the general assembly. He highlighted improvements in member services, including increased pensions—with a maximum of 4,000 EGP and a minimum of 2,000 EGP—and enhanced medical services through agreements with medical and dental syndicates.

In Beni Suef, Allam met with Governor Abdullah Abdel Aziz to discuss strengthening cooperation between the governorate and the Bar Association. The meeting focused on supporting lawyers' professional work and coordinating efforts to facilitate legal activities within the region, contributing to local development efforts.
