ZDF show ‘Bares für Rares’ features high-value jewelry sales

Recent episodes of the ZDF treasure hunting show ‘Bares für Rares’ have featured several high-value items and notable sales.

A diamond ring, described by its sellers as a ‘small Mercedes’ due to its high historical value, fetched nearly 10,000 euros. The piece was crafted by goldsmith Schott before 1974 and was presented by a couple from Regensburg.

Other significant items included a heavy 175-gram gold bracelet set with eight amethyst cabochons, which sold for 12,500 euros. Additionally, a gold bracelet featuring a Nile crocodile design, inspired by Egyptian motifs, also drew significant interest from dealers.

Not all items met seller expectations; a century-old musical clock stand from Wuppertal, which required technical repairs, saw bidding stop at 150 euros, well below the seller's desired price of 800 euros.
