Egypt education officials conduct field inspections to ensure school discipline
Egyptian education officials are conducting extensive field inspections to ensure discipline and the smooth operation of schools at the start of the new academic year. Mohamed Abdel Latif, the Minister of Education and Technical Education, held meetings with leadership in Cairo to emphasize that monitoring must move beyond office reports to direct, on-the-ground school visits. He stressed that school principals and district managers are directly responsible for addressing low attendance and resolving immediate educational challenges.
Similar oversight is occurring at the regional level. In Dakahlia, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Khaled Khalaf Qubaisi, inspected various primary and preparatory schools to verify the distribution of textbooks, teacher attendance, and the implementation of educational activities. In Beni Suef, Dr. Essam Amara, Director of the Education Directorate, conducted tours of schools in the Wasta district to monitor student density, classroom schedules, and school cleanliness.
The ministry's primary objective is to ensure that student presence in classrooms translates into effective learning and to maintain a safe, organized environment across all governorates.
