Egyptian Exchange hosts CFA Regional Research Challenge

The Egyptian Exchange hosted the CFA Institute Regional Research Challenge for the first time at its historic headquarters in central Cairo. Organized by CFA Society Egypt, the competition featured university teams representing nine countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Russia, Greece, and Cyprus.

The team from Saudi Arabia, representing CFA Society Saudi Arabia, secured first place. Cyprus took second place, and Greece finished third. Participants were evaluated by a panel of investment and capital market experts on their financial analysis, investment research, and investment recommendation skills.

The event was attended by Omar Radwan, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange, and Ashraf El-Khatib, Chairman of CFA Society Egypt. In a recorded message, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, emphasized that such practical competitions serve as a vital bridge between academic knowledge and labor market requirements, noting that continuous education and practical training are essential for building research capabilities in the finance and investment sectors.
