Egyptian Exchange offers fee exemptions for first 20 SMEs
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has launched a new incentive program to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to list on the stock market. Under an executive decision by EGX Chairman Omar Radwan, the first 20 companies that meet all listing requirements and documentation standards will be fully exempt from administrative service fees.
This exemption covers fees related to the examination and study of listing applications, the inclusion of securities in the exchange schedules, and the publication of financial statements. To qualify, companies must complete their listing procedures before September 30, 2026, and must be nominated by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) as part of an existing cooperation protocol.
Participating companies are required to submit three-year business plans approved by a sponsor or a financial advisor accredited by the Financial Regulatory Authority. These plans must outline targets for expansion, capital increases, and expected profits. The initiative, supported by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, aims to reduce financial burdens on promising companies, facilitate their transition to public markets, and enhance their ability to attract investment and financing.
