Egyptian Football Association supports Hossam Hassan amid recent controversies

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has addressed recent controversies surrounding Egypt national team head coach Hossam Hassan. Khaled El Darandaly, Vice President of the EFA, clarified that the board fully supports Hassan and the technical staff, dismissing rumors of potential dismissal following reports regarding the team's recent trip to South Sudan.

El Darandaly emphasized that the EFA prioritizes stability and does not make hasty decisions or engage in personal vendettas. He noted that while mission reports are standard procedure, they do not automatically result in coaching changes.

Additionally, the EFA addressed tensions regarding Hassan's comments about goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy. El Darandaly stated that the association should have issued a clarification sooner, affirming that El Shenawy remains a highly valued player with significant contributions to both Al Ahly and the national team. The EFA stressed the importance of maintaining positive relationships with clubs to ensure the continued success of the national team.
