Egyptian Football Association to close summer transfer window
The Egyptian Football Association is set to close the summer transfer window for Premier League clubs at midnight on August 15, 2026. Clubs are currently engaged in intensive efforts to finalize player registrations and squad reinforcements ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
Major clubs such as Al Ahly and Pyramids are working to conclude pending deals. Al Ahly has already bolstered its squad with several signings, including Sofiane Benjedda and Akram Tawfik. Meanwhile, Zamalek SC faces challenges due to a registration ban, forcing officials to focus on managing their current roster while attempting to resolve the suspension.
Under the current regulations, each Premier League team may register a maximum of 30 players, including five players born in 2005. Teams are also permitted to register up to five foreign players. The winter transfer window is scheduled to open on January 1, 2027.
