Egyptian governors hold public meetings to address citizen grievances
In separate regional meetings, the governors of Red Sea and Qalyubia addressed various public service demands and social issues.
Red Sea Governor Dr. Walid al-Barqi met with citizens to discuss infrastructure and service improvements. Key actions included directing the Hurghada city head to inspect lighting needs, forming an engineering committee to investigate problems in the Al-Rawda area, and addressing requests for road paving in Abu Ashra. The governor also addressed concerns regarding telecommunications cabinet placement, agricultural contract regulations, and the management of stray dogs.
In Qalyubia, Governor Dr. Hossam Abdel Fattah held his 95th public meeting in Shubra El Kheima. He reviewed requests for employment opportunities for youth and female breadwinners, social support for low-income families, and assistance for small business projects. The meeting also covered demands for housing, utility connections, and educational transfers, alongside infrastructure concerns such as road congestion and the covering of the Al-Nahas canal in Qalyub.
