Egyptian Health Ministry Controls Fire at Nasr City Hospital Clinic

A limited fire erupted in the external air‑conditioning units of the Nasr City clinic and the Oncology Center clinic of the Health Insurance Hospital in Nasr City, Egypt. The blaze, attributed to high temperatures, was quickly contained and extinguished by civil protection forces, with no injuries reported.

The Ministry of Health and Population ordered the immediate evacuation of the affected clinics, while normal hospital operations continued. Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar tasked Deputy Minister Dr. Mohamed Al‑Tayeb with overseeing the incident, forming a technical committee to investigate the cause and reinforce safety measures across health facilities.
