Egyptian lawmakers highlight President el-Sisi’s October Victory messages

Egyptian lawmakers have highlighted the key messages delivered by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi during the 44th Armed Forces educational seminar, titled ‘Nation of Heroes,’ marking the 53rd anniversary of the October Victory.

Legislators emphasized that the President’s address focused on the necessity of maintaining national awareness to protect national security and stability. They noted that modern warfare has expanded beyond military confrontation to include targeting public opinion through rumors and misinformation on social media platforms. Consequently, there is a call for strengthening societal awareness and digital literacy to distinguish between reliable information and disinformation.

The remarks also underscored the importance of protecting national memory and historical truth from distortion. Lawmakers noted that the President’s emphasis on constitutional adherence and economic development serves as a roadmap for facing current challenges. They stressed that building the state requires collective efforts across government institutions, the private sector, and civil society to foster national belonging and economic productivity.
