Egyptian Media Syndicate announces Hajj pilgrimage applications

The Egyptian Media Syndicate has announced the opening of applications for its members to perform the Hajj pilgrimage for the 1448 AH (2027) season. The syndicate expressed gratitude to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of State for Information Diaa Rashwan for increasing the number of Hajj visas allocated to media professionals compared to the previous year.

Applications will be accepted from August 24, 2026, to October 15, 2026, at the syndicate's headquarters. A dedicated Hajj committee has been formed to oversee the process, which includes a public lottery if the number of eligible applicants exceeds the available visas. Requirements include a valid syndicate membership card, a valid passport, and a declaration that the applicant has not previously performed Hajj.
