Egyptian military production and electricity ministers inspect Benha Electronics

State Minister for Military Production Dr. Salah Jumblatt, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mahmoud Assem and Qalyubia Governor Dr. Hossam Abdel Fattah visited the Benha Electronics plant in Benha, Qalyubia. During the tour they inspected research displays and production lines that fabricate railway signalling equipment, printed circuit boards, mechanical components, LED lamps, tablet devices, surface‑mount technology assemblies, smart poles and solar‑panel modules. The officials highlighted the company's role in the government’s drive to localise high‑tech manufacturing and increase the share of renewable energy to 45 % of the national mix by 2028, in line with President Abdel Fattah al‑Sisi’s directives. The visit underscored plans for deeper inter‑ministerial cooperation, quality‑assurance standards and potential export expansion to reduce reliance on imports.
