Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education Provides Free Computer‑Center Support and Exempts Top Graduates from Geographic Qu
The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued a series of infographics listing the computer‑center locations at public universities that will offer free technical and advisory services to high‑school graduates throughout the electronic university‑admission coordination period. Staff at these centers will assist students in registering their preferences safely and correctly.
In a related announcement, the ministry granted an exemption for the 1,500 top‑ranking high‑school graduates (500 each in science, mathematics and literature) from the standard geographic distribution rules used in university admissions. These students will also be exempted from tuition fees for general programmes after the first year, provided they maintain an "excellent" grade each semester.
Both measures aim to streamline the coordination process, ensure equitable access to university placements, and support high‑performing students with financial relief.
