Egyptian National Railways announces new subscription system and schedules
The Egyptian National Railways has announced a new subscription system for the public and students, offering various discounts and service improvements. For the general public, the monthly trip count for subscriptions has been adjusted to 40 trips instead of 50, with a maximum distance of 500 kilometers. Discount rates vary based on the duration of the subscription (ranging from 1 to 12 months) and the class of travel. For example, on 'Tahya Misr' trains, subscribers pay between 50% and 70% of the ticket value, while on third-class dynamic ventilation trains, they pay between 55% and 75%.
Special attention has been given to students to reduce the cost of daily travel during the academic year. Additionally, the authority released updated schedules for the Cairo-Alexandria line, covering various service types including Talgo, VIP, and third-class dynamic ventilation trains.
