Egyptian National Railways announces schedules and booking methods

The Egyptian National Railways has released the operating schedules for trains running between Cairo and Alexandria for Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The service includes various classes such as Talgo, VIP, sleeper trains, and upgraded Spanish and French models, as well as air-conditioned second and third-class options.

Morning departures from Cairo to Alexandria include several services, such as the Spanish upgraded train at 06:00 and the Talgo service at 08:00. Evening services are also available, including an upgraded Spanish train departing at 14:25.

To improve passenger service and reduce congestion at station windows, the Ministry of Transport has outlined multiple booking and payment methods. Passengers can purchase tickets through station windows, the official website, or the Egyptian National Railways mobile application. Additionally, tickets can be obtained via authorized electronic payment agents, telephone services (1661 or 09000661), city offices located outside stations, and self-service ticket vending machines (TVM) at major stations. Payments can be made in cash or electronically using Visa and Mastercard.
