Egyptian National Railways posts updated train schedule and ticket options

The Egyptian National Railways announced the official timetable for Thursday, 25 June 2026 on the Cairo‑Aswan route, detailing departure times for ordinary, air‑conditioned, VIP and sleeping services from early morning until late night. The schedule lists specific train numbers, departure times from Cairo and arrival times at Asyut and Aswan, covering both daytime and overnight services.

The railway also outlined multiple ticket‑purchase channels to ease passenger access. Travelers can buy tickets at station windows, via the official website, the Egyptian National Railways mobile app, 34 city offices, self‑service vending machines, and a network of electronic payment agents such as Fawry, Aman, and others. Payments are accepted in cash and by Visa or MasterCard online or at agents. An automated phone service (1661 or 09000661) is also available for bookings up to 15 days in advance.
