Egyptian National Railways Publishes Daily Timetables for Cairo‑Alexandria and Aswan‑Cairo Routes

On Sunday 26 July 2026, the Egyptian National Railways released the complete schedule for trains operating on the Cairo‑Alexandria line in both directions. The timetable lists departure and arrival times for a range of services, including premium Talgo and VIP trains, French‑styled coaches, Spanish‑modified units, third‑class air‑conditioned cars, and dynamic‑ventilation trains such as the “Hayyā Masr” service. Example departures from Cairo include the Talgo 2025 at 08:00 (arriving 10:30) and the VIP 917 at 15:00 (arriving 17:30). The reverse direction from Alexandria lists similar services, with the Talgo 2022 leaving at 07:00 (arriving 09:35) and the VIP 906 at 07:15 (arriving 09:45).

A separate schedule for the Aswan‑Cairo corridor was also published. It details VIP departures (e.g., train 2011 at 05:15, arriving 18:00), Talgo service at 19:00, sleeper trains, and various dynamic‑ventilation, Russian, and Spanish‑modified services. Departure times range from early morning (04:30) to late evening (23:20). Tickets for the different classes are offered in first and second tiers, with sleeper cars providing cabin‑style berths and meals.

Both timetables aim to improve passenger planning and comfort across Egypt’s major intercity rail routes.
