Egyptian National Railways updates schedules and booking systems

The Egyptian National Railways has announced updated schedules for the Cairo-Alexandria train line, covering various service levels including Talgo, VIP, air-conditioned third class, and dynamic ventilation trains. The schedule includes multiple departures throughout the morning, such as Train 119 departing Cairo at 05:00 and Train 903 departing at 06:00.

To improve passenger experience and reduce crowding, the authority has implemented an integrated digital booking system. Passengers can purchase tickets through the ‘Egyptian National Railways’ mobile app, the official website, station ticket windows, and various electronic payment agents like Fawry and Aman.

Additional booking options include self-service machines (TVM) at major stations, city offices located outside stations, and a telephone reservation service via short codes. Payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) at stations and online, and electronic payments through authorized agents.
