Egyptian nutrition experts promote arugula and simple habits for weight loss

Arugula is highlighted as one of the cheapest vegetables that can aid weight loss and improve digestion. According to the health site Draxe, a cup of arugula contains fewer than 10 calories, is rich in antioxidants, helps maintain optimal body pH, supports gut health and promotes satiety.

Nutrition specialist Dr. Imad Salama advises a set of sustainable habits: delay breakfast if not hungry, choose whole‑grain carbohydrate sources, begin meals should be protein‑rich, stay active through walking, stairs or household chores, perform brief daily exercises such as squats and planks, avoid unnecessary supplements, keep regular sleep, manage stress, eat slowly, use healthy fats like olive oil, and limit processed foods and white flour.
