Egyptian parks see surge in visitors during Eid al‑Adha
The Ministry of Water reported that the Irrigation Gardens at Qanat Al‑Kharīyah welcomed about 30,000 visitors in the first three days of the Eid al‑Adha holidays, with the sites open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Maintenance and cleaning operations were intensified ahead of the holiday. At the African Cultural Centre in Aswan and the nearby High Dam monuments, roughly 3,000 guests visited the memorials and exhibition halls during the same period.
In Cairo, Al‑Azhar Park also experienced a marked increase in attendance over the fourth day of Eid, offering families extensive green spaces, fountains, a lake with colorful fish and panoramic views of historic landmarks such as Salah din Citadel and the Al‑Azhar Mosque. The park, covering around 80 feddans, provided food outlets, shaded walkways and organized entry to accommodate the holiday crowds.
