Egyptian Pound exchange rates for major foreign and Arab currencies

On November 1, 2026, the Egyptian pound showed relative stability against major currencies according to the Central Bank of Egypt's indicative rates. The US dollar was recorded at approximately 55.99 EGP for purchase and 56.12 EGP for sale. The Euro was priced at 62.42 EGP for purchase and 62.58 EGP for sale, while the British Pound reached 74.59 EGP for purchase and 74.78 EGP for sale.

Regarding Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal was priced at 14.92 EGP for purchase and 14.96 EGP for sale. The Kuwaiti Dinar was recorded at 181.60 EGP for purchase and 182.10 EGP for sale, and the UAE Dirham stood at 15.24 EGP for purchase and 15.28 EGP for sale.

In the banking sector, the US dollar saw a 7.1% increase during October, rising from 52.37 EGP at the start of the month to the current levels. Various banks, including National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, and CIB, reported similar rates, with some institutions like the Egyptian Arab Land Bank recording slightly higher selling rates above 56 EGP.
